Senior Awards - Application Deadline: Sunday, April 17!

Dear Seniors and Parents of Seniors:
My name is Tara Haslam, and I am the Senior Awards Coordinator at Coronado High School.  It is that time of year where seniors can apply for senior awards!  During Senior Week, one of the activities is the Senior Awards Ceremony. During this ceremony, a variety of scholarships and awards are given to our graduating class. There are awards honoring service, academics, athletics... and there are also awards for students going into specific professions, certain majors or to certain schools. This is a great opportunity for seniors to tell us about their plans for next year, their accomplishments, hopes, goals, and opportunities that they have had to serve and volunteer.
In order to be eligible for any awards, seniors must fill out the Senior Awards Application.  The application is quick and easy to complete. It is a Google Form.  Students just need to log into their school Google account and follow the link below to fill out the form.  Please encourage them to be as detailed as possible...the more information we have to go by, the better!  In early May, a committee at Coronado High School will meet to select the seniors that will receive an award through this opportunity.  If your senior is chosen for an award, you will receive a letter in the mail with details in May.  The Senior Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, June 13th.  More details will be provided as they become available.
Seniors will have until 11:59 pm on Sunday, April 17th to fill out the senior awards application.  Again, please encourage your senior to apply.  The process is easy and there are many awards/scholarships to be handed out in June.  Here is the link to access the application form:
If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail me at:, or call me at (619) 522-8907 ext. 2705, or stop by my classroom at the high school, Room 705.  I look forward to seeing your senior apply for an award this year!
