Congratulations Katy Titus! CoSA Alumna class of 2015Posted by: Elisabeth Josset 1 year, 2 months ago
Katy is a proud 2015 alumna of CoSA's Musical Theatre and Drama program. During her time at CoSA, she performed in The Pirates of Penzance, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Chicago (pictured), and Big Fish After her high school graduation, she attended Chapman University in Orange, California, where she continued to be involved in theatre. She found a student-run organization, The Players' Society, and performed as an ensemble member of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, was a supporting role in Drug Trip, a comedy of errors written by her roommate and best friend, and music directed Peter and the Starcatcher. She also spent four weeks studying theatre in London through Chapman's study abroad program and spent a semester as the marketing intern at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. On April 20, she was honored to perform a solo in the end-of-year showcase of Chapman's tap dance program, singing and dancing to "Simple Joys" from Pippin.
This May, Katy graduated with a degree in Business Marketing and a minor in Public Relations, and much to the delight and relief of her parents, she has begun a full-time job at a public relations firm in Orange! She credits her successes in both her classes and her performances to her years at CoSA, as her training in theatre not only taught her notes and dance steps, but taught her how to collaborate with classmates and public speak without fear!
P.S. Do you know which musical theatre character she's portraying in this picture?
