Dear Islander Families,
Tonight is Coronado’s Holiday Parade and Open House, with our CHS band, cheerleaders, and NJROTC Islander Company all featured in the parade! Tomorrow (Saturday) is an opportunity to support our music programs at the annual Band and Choir Boosters’ Artisan’s Alley at Village Elementary, 9 AM to 3 PM.
A financial aid presentation for parents/guardians of senior students (and any other interested parents!) will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016, 7:00 PM, in the CHS theatre. College financial aid expert, Sarah Davis, Assistant Director of Financial Aid for the University of San Diego, will give a general overview of the financial aid process and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Free FUND YOUR FUTURE guides will be available. If you have questions, please contact Debbie Collins, Counselor, email@example.com, 619-522-8907x2092.
Teachers are and will be communicating about the nature and requirements of end-of-semester exams and projects in their courses. Please help your student mitigate stress by planning and prioritizing completion of remaining coursework and projects and preparing for review and study of content. Our teachers and departments have different approaches to final assessments based on the nature of their discipline: some are cumulative, reflecting content from throughout the semester, and some are reflective of information covered in recent chapters/units, or assess overarching skills development. Some courses have final projects. If you have questions about your students’ end-of-semester assessments or assignments, please contact your child’s teacher(s).
