Dear Islander Families,
We wrapped up regular AP (Advanced Placement) testing last week and offer makeup exams due to athletic conflicts and illness this week. In addition, our juniors and seniors are taking state CAASPP (The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress for 11th graders) and CAST (The California Science Test for seniors) testing. To accommodate testing windows, we are on a modified schedule this week, primarily affecting Monday and Thursday:
- Monday, May 21: Periods 4, 5, 6, 7
- Tuesday, May 22: Periods E, 1, 2, 3 (as normal)
- Wednesday, May 23: Periods 4, 5, 6, 7 (as normal)
- Thursday, May 24 Periods: E, 1, 2, 3

Message from Ms. Emily Craig, MFLC
As we all know. . .home is where the military sends you! I would like to announce that my family and I will be PCSing this summer, making this my last school year at CHS. It has been my honor to get to know the students and staff at CHS and to work closely with our military families. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with CUSD as I have been constantly reminded that our students are resourceful, creative, determined, and caring. It has been a joy to see our military youth change and grow as they navigate their way through high school. As I head off on our next adventure, please know the MFLC program will continue to be available at CHS to support our military families next school year. Lastly, to all my fellow Navy families, "fair winds and following seas!"
