Stranger Awareness EducationPosted by: Kathy Neubauer 4 years, 2 months ago
In response to the three recent incidences around town in the last couple of months, Coronado SAFE and the City of Coronado Police Department are teaming up to share tips and tools on Stranger Awareness.
Parent Coffee and Discussion: Stranger Awareness
Friday, March 14th 9:00-10:00 Village Elementary Library.
Parents, come enjoy a cup of coffee and join in the conversation.
Our goal will be to acquaint attendees with industry-accepted stranger safety techniques for children from 0 to 18 and provide informational reference sites for further research, along with some handouts.
The Coronado Police Dept. will be presenting facts about “familiar” versus “stranger” abduction.
David Adams from Martial Arts America will be on hand to highlight what his child safety events offer.
Dianne Baldwin from Coronado SAFE will present specific rules for ages: 0-5, 5-7, 7-12 and 12-18.
This will be followed up by an open-forum question and answer time.
