AP® Classes and Testing

The Advanced Placement (AP®) Program gives students the opportunity to take college-level courses, and possibly receive college credit, while they are still in high school.
 
At CHS AP courses are open to any students who meet the appropriate prerequisite courses and who also have support from the department.
Every May CHS hosts the College Board AP Exam that students may choose to register and pay for. For every exam that a student passes they will receive college credit that can be applied to a wide range of colleges and universities.
 
All students are required to sign and return an AP Contract.  Students will receive copies of the AP Contract from thier teachers.  All information pertaining to AP® testing is contained in this document.  A link to the contract is below:
 
2025-2026 Student/Parent AP Contract
 
 
AP Exam Registration Dates for the 2025-26 School Year:
 
Fall Registration:
September 1, 2025 to November 3, 2025
 
Spring AND Late Fall Registration: 
January 20, 2025 to March 2, 2026
 
Joining your AP Classroom:
 
  1. Students will join their AP® classroom within the first week of class.  They must click "REGISTER" once they have joined their classroom to have their test ordered for the May exam administration.
  2. All students taking AP classes will join the AP classroom.  ONLY students wanting to take the exam in May will REGISTER within their AP classroom.
