Advanced Placement (AP) Program

CHS Surfer Mural

The Advanced Placement (AP) Program gives students the opportunity to take college-level courses, and possibly receive college credit, while they are still in high school.

At CHS AP courses are open to any students who meet the appropriate prerequisite courses and who also have support from the department.
Every May CHS hosts the College Board AP Exam that students may choose to register and pay for. For every exam that a student passes they will receive college credit that can be applied to a wide range of colleges and universities.
