The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) Program is a movement in K-12 education that acknowledges the interconnectedness of the disciplines in supporting a student’s life and career in the 21st century.

At CHS STEAM has been able to enrich and augment the typical classroom offerings by creating new courses (including engineering and medical biology/bio-technology) and a robotics program, bringing in visiting artists, sponsoring large-scale art projects and a broadcasting studio, promoting attendance at math competitions, and encouraging math enrichment opportunities.  STEAM seeks to open students’ eyes and grow their passions in their future life path.

STEAM continues to grow and thrive with a generous endowment from Frances G. Harpst under the cooperation of the Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF) and CHS.
